The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) is pleased to announce that the WFDF 2016 World Ultimate and Guts Championships from London will be presented on the leading online platform Livestream.com. Select round-robin, quarterfinal, semifinal, and final competitions will be presented June 19 -25, featuring multi-camera coverage, live commentary, and high-quality graphics. In addition, Livestream.com will archive the competitions online through April, 2017.

The quadrennial World Ultimate and Guts Championships (http://wugc2016.com) will be held at the University College London Sports Ground, with the final day’s competition to take place at Allianz Park. Three thousand athletes from 39 countries are expected to participate in the men’s, women’s, mixed gender, and masters divisions. The World Ultimate Championships have been held since 1983 and are the premier world championships of the sport of Flying Disc, which has an estimated 7.5 million active players worldwide.

“We are very excited to announce that Livestream will carry at least 20 games from ultimate’s world championships,” stated Robert “Nob” Rauch, WFDF President. “For WFDF, this is our most significant international coverage to date, reflecting the growth and recognition of the sport. Free, multi-bandwidth streaming, viewable globally in real time, is a key element in our strategy to raise the profile of the sport as we continue our search for a global brand sponsor.”

“We’re incredibly excited to be working with the WFDF,” said Sam Jacobs, Livestream’s SVP of Sales & Marketing. “Sports is in our DNA and we’re thrilled to bring the excitement, passion, and grace of this enthralling sport to a global audience.”

The game feeds will be available at the federation’s website at http://wfdf.sport/live, the WFDF Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/worldflyingdisc/?fref=ts), and other streaming outlets to be added.

The production team is led by network veteran Tim Rockwood (WFDF’s Managing Director of Broadcasting and Marketing) and Rauch as Executive Producers, Elliot Trotter of Skyd Magazine as Director, and Mike Palmer of ulti.tv and Skyd Productions as Technical Director.
